Days like today ...

Never forget critters have a mind of their own.   To bad you can't train them to come when they have medical issues.  But enough of that... The owner will have to figure out to do it.  We tried  many ways and said screw it.  Today was a day where we got up early.  At four am  Little One had uncovered himself and got cold and just  wanted to snuggle with Mommy.  This is better then getting up 3-4 times a night and I am not going to complain as he is growing up way to fast.  Then came time for Kiddo to get up where she had a melt down cause the night before she stepped in dog poop and it was on the bottom of her shoe and she demanded that hubby or I clean it for her. So then the water works and fit started but ended quickly.  After the Bus showed up we grabbed some breakfast then headed out to water our gardens and trees.  Then we had lunch and checked the cows. Tried to catch the one that needs doctoring .... yeah attempt 5 stil...

The tonight  oh my I was just going to shut the front door for the night and noticed something odd... it had a tail and odd back  Well what I found was...

It has come time that we are now putting down roots.  Hubby retired in January and now we are at home on his small family owned farm .   There are a few things that we miss but for the most part all of us are very happy.  It is nice to raise the kids in small school setting  and not have to worry about  dealing with  classes of  almost 30 kids. We are slowly fixing things ups.  We have the chicken coop that is almost ready to have some chickens in it  just a few more things like  roosts, nesting boxes and then the feeder/water and straw for the floor.  Opps we still have the run to build yet.  So maybe next spring  I will have some chickens. We are fixing up the barn and working on building  shelter for the horse and cattle. We have 4 cows right now.  Beef, Cappy ( short for  Cappuccino), Piper and Mickey   we are looking for a bull as well.  Our small herd runs with h...
