Date with the hubby
A morning walk with hubby and little one.  What  a pleasant morning though a tad chilly.  We were checking the fields to see how the grass was came across a turkey  and saw one strutting with a hen early when checking the cows.  Mom you should love me  we researched the names for you

April 18, 2014   Morel Mushroom Hunting on the farm

Cool fungus growing on a downed limb

One would think the flow would be on the top of the plant but this one is underneath

I think this is a start of a chanterelle mushroom  but we left it be as we were not sure.

Love this plant where half the leaf is a different color.

Watch out for these nasty ticks  this one was on the sack we had mushrooms in.

This is a small false morel mushroom  in the center of the picture.  There was so much leaf cover that it was hard to spot them.
