Well ours now....
March 2019 This moving slow but a ton of things to do.
Things have come to sort of stand still. So much going on at the schools and with the farm and other things like selling the house in Florida that things at the house have put off. However, we now have the metal roof on and put the screen door back on. Next is the front porch that we are looking into having done. Not much will be going on unless it's painting as we still have 3 fences to get in and done before June. Here are some pictures of the roof and such.
Jan. 2019 Me oh my...
I know I have been slacking again but we are constantly on the go and have too many irons in the fire. If it's not something with one of the kids, Farm, house, or my writing. I rarely have time to update this... may also be due to the horrible internet we have. So the house now...
One we are on the first steps of getting a metal roof put on. 2. Hubby and I finally agree on the flooring. 3. Now we are painting and even more painting... 4. cleaning thank goodness for bleach cleaner!!
So the colors we picked for all but 3 rooms is Egg Shell white. (what we have painted makes it so much brighter in there)
Little one room is painted in Sea Salt
Kiddo's room will be in Falkland Blue
The Dining/writing room is in Monochrome
So far we have the dining room, and little one's room done other than touch-ups.
The master bedroom and living room are painted just have trim work and the smaller walls that the 18" roller could not do.
More pictures to come later this week.
December:
Things have slowed down some as we are going here and there and everywhere it seems. This month we have been washing walls getting it ready to paint. We were so close to being done with them but. an asthma attack snuck up on me and well we still have a wall and 1/2 in hubby's hobby room to finish washing. That just leaves the bathroom we are gutting. And we are finding more thing that makes us scratch our head and say what in the heck. Also, the water pipe has been fixed after a few trips to the hardware store as it was worse off then we thought and then one of the copper lines had a hole in as well but all is fixed just need to replace washers, faucets and toilet parts.
Oh my oh me... broken pipes, cracked cement ......
We have all the carpet out now, paint bought for the boy's room, as that is going to be our starting point...
Let's see after multi trips to the hardware store we got the water working. Busted PVC pipe fixed it only to find out it was cracked more than we first thought. More parts fixed it then the copper pipe was split so back again but now we have water. Just need to get new toilet kits for the 3 bathrooms and that will be working again.
Slow steps but we are getting there.

The Last week of Oct.
Slowly we are getting things done. Hauled out 10 bags of trash just from the carpeted areas. The carpet and pads from the upstairs have been removed.
The first week of Oct.
So we finally were able to close on the 10 acres and the house that sits in the middle of our farm. ( long long story not getting into all of it here) Went over and looked and this is what we are starting with.... this will be a slow going as we need to get a new roof, mold specialists in to see if we have to gut the downstairs and start over. Tearing out the old carpet and putting new in and laying some other flooring downstairs. There is currently no power so some pictures are just dark even with our flashlights and flash. So thankful that this is something we can work on slowly and have a place to live. I know that we will be happy to have a little space again and the view we will have will be nice. I will try to keep up with the progress as we go along. It will be slow but we don't want to risk our health with the mold.

see the dark circle? well that is where the light cover was the dark thing in the picture is what was under it.
Dead packrat how it got under have no clue. If it fell and the rat was still alive it would have torn the carpet up trying to get out. Not the case and the light cover would have broken falling from that height.
