Still warm here but not as bad....
Up to AUG 12th....forgot that I was having issues with the blog that day working.
Sorry have been slacking have been to tired to write at night after all have gone to bed. So lets start with the excitement...
Aug 4 Black Bear in Granny yard her house sits not that far from ours but Hubbys brother and wife saw it as they were heading home from supper with at Hubby's mom house down here. Lets just say its been seen around the area from by the school and around.
Large Snake in our attic Aug 7
well hubby went out to do something yesterday and saw a snake head sticking out out our attic where there is a gap that we need to fix anyways he comes in and goes out and shoots it.... He sees it goes limp and is hanging out part way.... So he comes in and tell me to go look .... There is no snake well he didn't get it ...its back up in our attic and he could not get to it but its a huge snake. He says by judging it its almost as long as our shop broom handle. I hope the snake learned its lesson and goes far away from here. So my trips outside are with someone other then the baby and a hoe. I don't mind snakes if they stay away from me and my house but this one needs to go.
Snake situation today... he may have it or it found another way out but who wants to crawl on their belly on rafters to peek over the edge of a 2x 12 where there may be a snake on the other side not me!!!

Kiddo started doing basketball looks like she may get to play as there are not many kids out but some may join when school starts. Hubby says she improving all the time.
Little One sure keeps us on our toes. He is starting to talk more says please, backpack, Sissy, Bath, Momma, Dada and a few other words. He loves to check the cows and gets excited to see horses, tactors and other big machines.
Our Garden is still doing good lots of tomatoes and cucumbers, a few peppers and carrots. Along those lines a friend gave us some apples so the last 2 days we have been making apple butter and apple slices. I also have tried a new dough recipe and made cinnamon rolls and an Italian bread that has been a huge hit.

Tiny the lizard kiddo had for a week and we released him back into the wild in our asparagus bed
Ok to give you and idea I am at our garden that is five steps off the back of our house. The row of hay bales is just below Granny's house were the Bear was seen.
